Organization Involvement

Two words could summarize my roles in organizations: Creativity and Communication.

American Marketing Association – Active Member

Spring 2017 – Present


Amazed by AMA diversity and inclusion, I first served on Digital Media Committee to increase AMA’s digital presence. Later I focused on the AMA Agency Group and worked with real clients to solve their marketing problems.

Counseling and Mental Health Center – Mental Health Peer Educator

As an international student, I faced so many difficulties trying to adjust to the US culture, UT campus size, independent life, etc. Competitive and overachieving, but sensitive and vulnerable, I suffered from loneliness and devastate my mental and physical health. Later recovered, I became one of 20 2017-2018 Mental Health Peer Educators from 80 applicants and the only International student. We plan strategies, recruit new peers, facilitate workshops, to outreach college students and promote mental health.

Voice Against Violence – Facilitator & Performer

Fall 2017 – Present


Yes. I am an actress. After performing in UT’s first Mental Health Monologue, I joined the Voice Against Violence, Theatre for Dialogue (an affiliate program under Counseling and Mental Health Center) and continued to explore my acting career in a meaningful way. With three graduate Theatre and Dance students and our supervisor, we spent a semester/60 hrs to create a brand-new I Like, Like You interactive performance to explore communication in relationships.  A Directly quote from our audience comment -“The best entertaining and informative show I have ever see.

Chinese Students and Scholars Association – Publicity Committee Member

CssaDuring that time, my major responsibility for designing layout, writing ad copies, and assisted in publishing events on our official Wechat account to keep over 1.5K followers well informed of events. Also, where needs me, I will show up immediately. CSSA is the bridge to connect Chinese students and U.S college life, and I want to help it become more accessible, to more people.

BBA Women’s Council – Executive Board, Social Media Chair

Fall 2016 – Spring 2017

bbaI mentored fellow students with networking strategies through mock interview practice and leadership topic discussions, engaged in weekly seminars planning and events coordination, and oversaw the Facebook group to support 100+ current and past participants entering the business world. This is a place that women’s voices are fully heard and efforts are valued.
