Work Experience
Two words to summarize my values in work: Change and Teamwork.
AMA Agency Group – Client: SparkCognition; Austin, TX
August 2017-Present
In fall 2017, our team worked with SparkCognition, the first cognitive security analytics and one of the fastest growing artificial intelligence start-ups in the world. First time working with highly professional, caring, and considerate managers and analyzing strengths and weaknesses of marketing strategy.
Takeaway: there are so many companies shaping the future “silently.” Always keep on an eye on the real world.
League Campus – Teaching Assistant; Shanghai, China
June 2017-August 2018
In summer 2017, I worked in Ivy League campus, an Engish-immersion American-style summer camp designed for Chinese kids age from 7 to 12. Working in three groups, I directly supervised 40+ children and observed their growth of creativity, confidence, and leadership, and also witnessed emotional negligence and intelligence differences.
Takeaway: there are a lot of efforts and team boding works needed to do. Teachers have to be responsible and be ready for unexpected situations, both physically and psychologically.
Dress for Success Austin – Job Search Program Assistant Intern; Austin, TX
March 2017-May 2017
I supported the Job Searching Program Coordinator to organize and facilitate the nine-week program prior to, during and after each session and throughout the cohort of classes and helped 19 women seek employment. I was responsible for all logistic tasks including classroom arrangement, database management, technology support, speakers and recruiters contact, etc.
SocialGear – Marketing Analysis Intern; Houston, TX
August 2016-January 2017
I communicated over ten student organizations to assist in publishing events, managing accounts, and mastering features; researched events around Austin monthly and outreached event organizers to enrich content in the website; promoted website review and celebrity experience ideas to improve user experience and maintain 400+ visitors per day. Also, I Planned UT’s first Flash Mob event, drafted fact sheets and ad copy, and recruited 40+ students into participation.
Division of Housing and Food Service – Student Assistant Worker; Austin, TX
February 2017-May 2017
Working in UT’s largest dining hall is challenging and fun. In fall 2016, I served food seven hours a week to over 1K customers and collaborated with 10 employers to increase efficiency; memorized accurate menus information in order to satisfy dietary needs such as allergies, vegetarian, and gluten-free; trained new Student Assistant in process of getting accustomed to the fast-paced catering environment.
